What a lovely, World Book Day week!

Thursday was a wonderful day in school. The children enjoyed story times with other teachers, building dens and reading their favourite stories and making hot chocolate bags to drink at home.

As mathematicians this week, we have been introduced to the X symbol. We have been look at groups to see if they are equal or unequal, we have been adding groups, making equal groups and using the X symbol to represent images. For example - 3 groups of 4 / 4+4+4 = 12 / 3x4=12

Homework this week is access to Times Tables Rockstars. The children should be able to access the 2, 5 and 10 times tables to practise.

As writers this week, we have been learning about apostrophes for contractions. We have been writing sentences using contractions about Stanley.

As Geographers, we have been learning about the continents and the 5 main oceans. As artists, we have used different mediums within the same piece of art to create beautiful, Monet inspired paintings. As dancers, we have moved like the ocean and sea creatures. The children have worked in partners to sequence moves and perform to the class.
