On Monday, we have a new Associate Teacher joining us from Chester Unviersity. Her name is Ruth Reed. She has sent us a message to introduce herself:
Hello Mickle Trafford Village School,
I'm Ruth Read and I am looking forward to coming to join Miss Wooldridge in Year 2 on Monday 25th September.
Before starting the PGCE with the University of Chester, I was working with children and young people with disabilities. I loved this role, and I am passionate about inclusion, communication and creativity!
I have little girl and two dachshunds (who we love to take on adventures). I also enjoy cycling my bike, yoga and making messy masterpieces with my daughter.
This week, we have continued our Place Value maths lessons, partitioning numbers within 100, representing the tens and ones with our maths equipment and pictorially in our books. We have come to the end of our Colour Monster Literacy lessons and we have all written lovely final pieces about how The Colour Monster Feels.
The children would like to add:
Olivia - I liked when we wrote about what The Colour Monster feels.
Reuben - I liked it when we worked on our numbers
Joe - I liked it when we went on the village walk (hunting for materials)
Hattie - I liked it when we coloured in the paper dolls
Luca - I liked when we did our numbers (tens and ones)
