Year 2 Autumn week 7 - 20.10.23

Well done to all of our Year 2 children for a fantastic first half term. Thank you to parent's for joining us for parent's evenings. It has been lovely to talk about how amazing our class is. 

We have had a lovely week - creating a beanstalk in the hall during Literacy lessons, counting in 2, 5, 10 and 3s in maths lessons and creating imaginary worlds in georgraphy lessons. 

This half term, there will be no spellings. The half term homework is to read and to learn line/s for the nativity. See you all in a week.

The children would like to add....

Darcey - we were writing about whether Jack should go up the beanstalk or not.

Hattie - we have been learning about Mae Jemison (Black History Month)

Charlotte - we made rockets

Olivia - we whispered to Jack and persuaded him to go up the beanstalk or down the beanstalk

Charlie - we have been learning that we can decorate our classrooms

Isaac - we have been learning about Jack & the Baked Beanstalk

Rueben- we have been doing our times tables

Jessica - we have been writing about what Mae Jemison did to become an astronaut & in science we have been learning about different materials

Cara - we have been learning about food

Luca - we have been making space rockets
