Year 3 - 1.12.23

Date: 30th Nov 2023 @ 3:51pm

This week’s blog has been written by Mr Waring.

I must start off by saying a huge well done to all the children in Year 3 this week. We have been assessment heavy and the children have all tried their best, please ensure they have a well-earned rest this weekend, they deserve it! Our focus in literacy this week has been re-telling the story of Winter's Child, we are hoping to upload the work to Twitter before the end of term, so please keep checking. In Science this week Mrs Taylor informed me that the children had been identifying where natural light comes from, there was some great discussion from the class on whether the moon produces light or not. In PE we continued to work on teamwork and resilience through the invasion game line ball and using netball rules.

Can I also say a massive thank you for the research projects that have been brought in from this week’s homework of Mount Vesuvius. The creative flare from the children was shown in such a variety of ways and I enjoyed listening to them explain what they had learnt at home.
