Year 3 19.4.24

Date: 18th Apr 2024 @ 5:29pm

What a whirlwind of a week back! We've done so much this week…

We've looked at our new book Stone Age Boy. In these lessons we created our own story starter, acted out and conveyed the thoughts, feeling and speech of the boy and on Friday we created expanded noun sentences on the boy as his surroundings began to change.

In maths we started our new topic of weighing and measuring. This week we looked at grams, kilograms and equal measurements of the two. It has been some tricky learning in maths, but the children coped incredibly well.

Also, we went hiding in caves as we learnt about cave art, the classroom was turned into Stone Age caves as the children attempted to re-create similar pieces that have been discovered, the children really enjoyed it.
