Year 3 - 24.11.23

Another week passes us by so quickly. In English we learnt how the Winter has taken its toll on Tom and as a class we have discussed whether Tom was still enjoying the Winter wonderland or if it was time for Spring to start. The children wrote some lovely pieces on a setting description as Tom ventured in the mountains.

In Maths we looked at the word inverse, please test the children at home! We talked about how you can inverse a sum and the symbol. Also, we looked at some word-based problems, trying to apply to inverse rules through the use of number lines. At the start of the week, we learnt applied our previous knowledge of bonds to 10 to make compliments to 100. 
 
In Geography we finished our work on the Mercalli scale, this will help us apply our learning next week as we look into earthquake proof buildings.
