Year 3 -26.4.24

Date: 26th Apr 2024 @ 3:53pm

Another fantastic week has come to an end in Year 3 and we’ve achieved so much! In maths we moved on to working out ML and L. It has been a tricky subject but I am confident in saying our children recognise how many ML are in 1L and can look at measurements and work out the volume of a container.

In literacy we learnt our characters name is Om and she is from The Stone Age, today we visited Om’s camp. On Thursday we wrote an excellent setting description of the boys first night at camp. We couldn’t decide if the stew was tasty or not! Literacy linked well with our humanities subject as we learnt about the three periods of The Stone Age, they are tricky words and we will continue to learn about them next Wednesday.

Finally, Mrs Gordon came to see us today and we told her all about the present she bought us last term! For those who have forgotten, Mrs G comes every Friday to volunteer in our English lesson and she was so excited by our last book, ‘Escape from Pompeii’ that she bought us the modern-day version of the game ‘knucklebones’. Thanks Mrs G!
