The Christmas festivities have begun! Our nativity is well under way and we have enjoyed doing rehearsal with Year 2. 

Ready for the Chester Cathedral Christmas trees, Year 1 used their sewing skills to create beautiful crown decorations. Our sewing skills are now fantastic and we are working on our penguin hand puppets! 

In maths, we have focused on adding within 10. The children have enjoyed accessing a range of strategies to independently solve addition problems. In our writing, we have started to use 'I' and 'my' to write in first person and using 'and' to join words and phrases. Thank you for your support with our homework task last week. The children used their knowledge to write some fantastic sentences about penguins! 

In R.E, the children enjoyed learning about each of the three kings and the meanings behind each of their gifts to baby Jesus. In P.E, we are continuing to enjoy our yoga sessions!
