You can download the attached document “Our curriculum” which goes into detail about what is taught in our school across the different year groups and different subjects. For more detailed information regarding our Foundation subjects, please find the Assessment for Progression documents below. These have been developed by subject leaders and teachers at MTVS, ensuring that skills are developed as children get older and that there is full coverage of the National Curriculum.

Our teachers work hard to make sure that the learning is relevant and engaging for the children. This means that they take their interests and abilities into account when planning a unit of work and try to link subjects together wherever possible so that learning is purposeful.

Learning is not just about acquiring knowledge but also developing skills. We want our children to develop as independent and resilient learners so that they are well equipped to move to the next stage of their lives and can contribute well to whatever community they may be a part of.
